Glass Jar Chandeliers DIY

I am so excited to get married! I've been engaged for over a year and I am ready to get married. The

biggest reason that we had to wait was to get money together. We were both in college, and we didn't

have too much to our names. Because of this, a lot of our wedding has been DIY. I've loved doing

everything from the flowers to the baking for the wedding. I have always loved DIY projects, so my

wedding was so much fun for me. One of my most absolute favorite projects was a DIY outdoor

chandelier. We are having an outdoor wedding and I really wanted to have something to light up the

place. So, I knew that I needed to make a chandelier. The best part, it didn't cost me too much! All I

had to do is get some glass jars! Here's how it should look:

Here's what you need:

Cut two 24 in lengths of tie wires. In the center of each wire, make a loop. Put the loop over the glass

jar and tighten. Then put the other loop in the opposite direction.

Twist the end wires to secure the wires on the neck of the jar. With the needle-nose pliers, tighten.

Then, bend the wife so that it comes straight up from the jar. Bend the other wires horizontally.

Grab the tips of the vertical wires and form to make a spiral.

Curl the shorter, horizontal wires to the same size as the ones above.

To mak ea symmetrical holder, repeal the spirals.

For the chandelier, cut a 20 inch piece of wire to make a loose loop in the center. Loop over the two

spirals.

Use the pliers to make three tight twists. Make an oval about 3 inches long.

Use pliers to bend the potion down. Cut each end so that about 1 inch of wire extends. Make sure that

the hooks face forward. Then, repeat steps 7-10.

Clamp the ends of the metal hoop to where you are working and then drill a hole through the layers.

Then, thread a nut to the neck of the eyehook and push the bolt through the small hole. Using the

wrench, put the second nut on the end of the bolt.

Measure your hoop. Drill holes in 1/3 intervals and then put a eyehook bolt at each position.

Put a link through the bolt's eye to put the chain at the bottom hoop.

Attach the top hoop by threading the bolt's head through the chain's link.

Make sure all chains meet at the top in an s hook.

Hang your chandelier where you want it.

It's a bit of work, but once you put the candles in your glass jars, it will be sure to light up the night!
